Encontros Científicos - Tourism & Management Studies is an academic, refereed Journal in the areas of Tourism and Management, which is published by the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of the Algarve, Portugal. The Journal is indexed in the international scientific databases EBSCO, SCIELO and LATINDEX and publishes original papers mainly in English but also in Portuguese and Spanish. Its main objective is to encourage academic research and share the scientific knowledge developed by national and international researchers in the areas of Tourism and Management.
The Journal has an Editorial Board with members from different universities and countries, and a Scientific Board composed of more than 50 PhD members from 30 universities from many different countries, which is responsible for the refereeing of the articles.

: International Conference on Tourism & Management Studies – Algarve 2011 |

| The School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of the Algarve and the Journal “Encontros Científicos - Tourism & Management Studies” are organizing the “International Conference on Tourism & Management Studies – Algarve 2011”, which will be held in Faro, Portugal on the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th of October 2011. This conference will focus on a wide variety of topics related to Tourism studies and Tourism and Hospitality Management. This event aims to stimulate research and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the areas of Tourism and Leisure Studies, as well as Tourism and Hospitality Management, encouraging inter-disciplinary and comparative approaches. It is also our aim to provide a platform for stimulating inter-disciplinary discussions in the above mentioned areas, enhancing knowledge and experience and promoting scholarly cooperation and collaborative work among researchers from all over the world. |
